an invigorating walk down the hill road…..winding ways lined with fir trees, cool breeze and overwhelming serenity…all this made me hungry….
I enter into this small restaurant…and i see no one around..just a pekinese dog resting on the floor and blues music playing…

i sit down on a comfy table which is adjacent to a large window looking out to the hills….i feel so relaxed..ready to doze off…but the decor interests me….its as if the owner has extended his home and his life into this place….decorated with numerous pics of people who have visited this place…drawings and paintings done by visitors, albums of family and friends, cards and scraps filled with personalised writings..all this makes me somehow feel im not a stanger here but among friends….just then someone comes out of the kitchen and greets me..asks me what i would like….

i am not sure…so i ask him..he says you have this and this….i said okay…he goes off not before giving me another friendly smile…..i am really liking the place….specially the corner im sitting..suddenly the dog wakes up..and comes to me…he starts rubbing his body on my leg…..wants to be patted and hugged…..and how can i resist that!!!!….while i pet the dog and enjoy the view and music playing..i can smell and see the dishes being cooked…..

The food arrives and it smells great!!!…i literally eat up to my neck!!!!…and when i am done….i have problems getting up from my seat……but i do get up..satisfied gastronomically and mentally…and i have a wonderful night of sleep…
this is what eating out is all about….that lovely evening of dinner at will be forever one of my fond memories!!!

i had many such moments while eating out at Mcleodganj…breakfasts, brunches, lunches, snacks, coffee breaks and dinners…but this post will become too long to describe all ill just share some pics….

  1. i sumtimes wonder wat makes one to come out with neva ending combination of pics with some perfect words to make a reader get a feel of the place or feelings that the writer feels at the time of penning down the words…. this is a classic point in this case… n the entire gamut of the blog just thrust me to put down a few lines…

    “Nobody knows where you are
    How near or how far
Shine on, you crazy diamond !
    Pile on many more layers
And I’ll be joining you there
Shine on, you crazy diamond !
And we’ll bask in the shadow
    Of yesterday’s triumph
And sail on the steel breeze
Come on, you boy child, you winner and loser
Come on, you miner for truth and delusion
    And shine ! “

to sum up a phenomenal combination of words and pictures to add zest to life… n i believe that she ought not be called a Shooting Star rather a Pole Star coz it justify the writings….
