“One should either be a work of art, or wear a work of art.”  ― Oscar Wilde

Rarely does it happen that a single piece of jewellery inspires me to plan a whole outfit around it. So, you would understand how much of instant love it was when, one midweek morning at office, when I received this stunning piece of necklace from RuHH (in cute package).

The necklace for me was a labour of love by the creator (Debarpita Sen) and it came through it every detail – the stone finish, the beads, the easy hooks and the personal note from the designer herself.  Most of all, I fell in love with necklace for its timeless yet bohemian artsy style, charmingly combining abstract & asymmetrical. My mind instantly conjured myriad ways I could style this necklace.

I couldn’t wait to try out my styling ideas and a Friday night dinner with friends at an art cafe was the perfect opportunity to try out one of my style ideas.  I chose to be the Quirky prints+Boldcolors Funky Girl with focus on the necklace. A close look at the necklace on my neck J

A little bit about brand RuHH and its owner/creator Debarpita Sen – The designer Debarpita Sen is a self-taught artist who started ‘RuHH’ with a vision of creating Wearable artwear that is dressed up with her passion.  The exclusive yet affordable statement pieces are inspired by myriad of textures and colors of tribes and ethnicities from around the world.

You can check out her different collections, contact her and place your orders via RuHH Brand Facebook page here.

For me, this necklace was more than a stunning piece of jewelry as I made a personal connect with the designer herself with this personalized piece that she made for me.

Here’s how I styled my whole quirky prints+bold colors look:-

Top : Benetton
Vest: Quirk Box Minion Vest
Pants: Vero Moda
Shoes: Catwalk
Necklace: RUHH
Bracelet: From Nairobi
Watch: Titan

Have you ever been inspired by any one piece of jewellery (or garment) to style a look around it ???

  1. I love that necklace! It is so unique and could definitely be a conversation piece. I think the mix of prints in your trousers and scarf was the perfect ensemble for the unique necklace. I love it! <3
