Miramar beach in Panjim, North Goa was the only beach I visited in Goa during our monsoon Goa getaway. It was a different experience to be on a beach in the rainy season, especially in Goa which is famous for its beach life.
Miramar Beach is one of the most visited beaches in Goa and is one of the two only beaches in Panjim, other being Caranzalem beach. Originally named Porta de Gaspar Dias by the Portuguese, the name was then changed to Miramar.
The sea was in its belligerent mood and the waves came crashing one after the other, though it was nothing like the waves on Puri, beach, Orissa. However, considering how calm Arabian Sea is most of the year, the waves were definitely strong

We spent some lovely moments catching the sea breeze, people watching clicking pics at Miramar beach, before heading back to our AirBnb flat.
Travel Tips for visiting Beaches in rainy season:
- Do not venture into the waves as the sea is in rough state and there is danger of washing away even for good swimmers.
- The beach area is much reduced and there are chances of quick sand so venture cautiously.
