Lan Kwai Fong is ‘THE’ destination in Hong Kong for Nightlife, Partying and eating out. During my solo travel in Hong Kong, my hosts & friends Payal-Siddharth told me that Lan Kwai Fong is one place I should not miss partying out when in Hong Kong.
I had a blast celebrating my 8th marriage anniversary at Lan Kwai Fong with my friends (and the husband was there in spirits!!). Sharing with you all my awesome party time at Lan Kwai Fong in Hong Kong.
Lan Kwai Fong is renowned for it’s late night revelry, with pubs discotheques, karaoke bars and eatign joints open all through the night till early morning hours. Since my marriage annoversary fell over the weekend, it was perfect timing for us to hit the party circuit at Lan Kwai Fong. As with other places in Hong Kong, Lan Kwai Fong can be easily accessed by public transport. We took the Metro (MTR) – exit at MTR Central Station Exit D2, walk along Theatre Lane, and up D’Aguilar Street.
By the way, Lan Kwai Fong is so popular that it’s official street sign is one of the most photographed in Hong Kong!
The fun starts as one enters the main street at Lan Kwai Fong, the crowds crazy especially on a weekend. But there’s no jostling, aggresiveness and everyone is in a good mood. People are out on the street having a good time and joi-de-vivre mood is so infectious that one cannot help feel upbeat. We checked out many places before finally settling at Hard Rock Cafe, which plays live Rock Music. We had a great time at Hard Rock Cafe Hong Kong, with an awesome Philipino Band playing some classsic rock numbers.
Lan Kwai Fong also hosts all major celebrations, like festivals, carnivals, new year celebrations and has it’s very own Beer Festivals (which my friends attended last year and loved it!!)
If you are in mood to party in Hong Kong, Lan Kwai Fong is the place to be and as a traveler, it is a must visit destination in my opinion!!
Party On at Lan Kwai Fong!!
