Soft winds caressing my skin as I stand on the edge of a mountain road, watching the clouds gather on the mountains, rising up, flowing along the winds and vanishing into nowhere. It seemed to me a piece of heaven.
I took off to Kasauli in Himachal Pradesh (India) with my family last week and we had a relaxing, rejuvenating week. Our days & evenings were filled with lovely nature walks, greenery, quaint heritage buildings, mountain roads which were meant to walk on endlessly (and walk we did!!) clouds, fogs and rains….but the best times were spent watching the cloud play in the Himalayan mountains.
It was the first familyroad trip we took with our infant and it was a learning experience and fun too (details and posts will be coming up soon). Our baby loved the change in scenery as much as we did and came back a happy child.
Cloud play at Kasauli was one of the best memories I took back in this trip and something which might make me go there again.
Wow, stunning photos. I have only just stumbled upon this blog looking up things about travel in India, and I have to admit, I was not aware of such misty and green beauty there, thanks for showing me the way as I will now be diving into the rest of your blog!

Beautiful and break taking pictures! I love the mountains, fresh air and the clouds. Oh so looking forward to hearing about your first experience road tripping with your infant. On some of our road trips I would be thinking 'this is the last time!', LOL! Worth it though.
Looking forward to reading about more trips with your bundle of joy!
the misty clouds look cooling.
Since I've been to Kashmir, I've developed a likeness for hill stations and Kasauli seems like a great retreat! Glad you enjoyed!

Sushmita, you're right… clouds when we travel hills need much more of our photographic attention… they're just lovely! 🙂
I'm glad you had a happy trip to the mountains with your family and baby. Your photos of the clouds 'playing' with the mountains.
Thanks for taking me to old memories.
I have spent lot of my weekends at Kasauli, with my friends 8 years back. After that I have been there for 3-4 times and every time it brings one or other new things for you. Beautiful place for nature lovers.
